The book has been vvritten for those interested in archaeology and ancient history, as vvell as for the specialist. Detailed information about the ruins is presented in the main text, vvhich is intended to be read before the sites are visited. The plans and photographs are provided vvith concise cap-tions so that basic information concerning each site can be read on the spot.
