Both States, situated in strategically important maritime regions, encounter difficulties in resource utilization stemming from overlapping territorial claims and intricate territorial disputes.

The maritime delimitation conflicts that Türkiye and Japan face with their neighbouring countries have resulted in a cessation of resource exploitation in the contested areas. This text aims to explore potential resolutions to the moratorium by establishing a robust legal framevvork and providing pertinent policy recommendations for Joint Management Agreements (JMAs).
