It is obvious that digital transformation (DT) impacts and challenges managers in every industry (Andriole, 2017; Benner and Waldfogel, 2023; Correani et al., 2020; Hanelt et al., 2021; Westerman et al., 2014; Yetgin, and Bastug, 2022). Organizational action is being spurred by COVID-19's negative effects on firms' performance (Hanelt et al., 2021; Hoque et al., 2020; Liu et al., 2020; McKibbin and Fernando, 2021; Toumia, O. and Zahou-Lamti, I., 2022; Wang and Su, 2020) which are raising awareness of the need to speed up digital transformation (Fitzpatrick et al., 2020).
